I have had a passion for photography ever since I was a teenager. The ability to “freeze time” in my photographs lets me capture the moment, as well as see things not ordinarily seen, the same as the long exposure of time that accumulates movement.

Having few favorites, Robert see’s beauty in almost everything and everyone and tries to “see” and “photograph “ his subjects to bring this beauty to the viewer.

Drawing from a lengthy, creative career in business, Bellospirito quickly discovered a productive marriage between the creativity necessary for innovation and the logic decision making skills needed to make business successful. It is this creativity coupled with his love of nature that is the source of inspiration for adventure and his photography.

In 2014 Robert Bellospirito embarked to the open road on his motorcycle to travel through some of the most remote places on the continent.  A venture that is scheduled to last well into the future. When he's not on his motorcycle, Robert is going "off grid" in his Ford F-250 expedition camper or hiking into the wilderness,  seeking out hidden natural wonders not often seen, spine-tingling vistas, and the most dramatic expanses to document, share, and inspire exploration through his work.

Most of all, it is the burning desire for exploration, adventure, and the unknown that drives his enthusiasm. For Robert Bellospirito, his life is a never ending journey, and so is his photography.

New York and New Mexico are his home ….. and the world his studio.

A little more about Robert…

Although Robert is comfortable anywhere from the mountains to the ocean to the city, his preferred place to call home is in the wilderness living among the wild. He believes that physical fitness gives him the energy to endlessly explore, insatiable curiosity excites the desire to understand how the world works and business has taught the discipline, clarity and technical knowledge to climb over obstacles, focus and walk through life with a will to explore and share his knowledge.

Since the age of 22, Robert has started, built, run, and successfully exited three different companies in four different industries: grounds design, construction and maintenance, road and site construction & mining and manufacturing.

His passion for business was fired up upon creation of his first company, a Landscape design, construction and maintenance company. Which was sold within 2 short years and went on to building his next company. Over the next 11 years, he built a construction company that specialized in property design and construction, land grading and shaping, drainage, asphalt paving and concrete. His company ultimately performed work for some of the most prestigious residential and largest commercial clients on Long Island, NY. The company was sold after 11 years.

1995 was the beginning of the largest, and most diverse company that he created. A stone mining and manufacturing company, which was two companies in one. Companies such as Apple, Harvard University, The Smithsonian Institute, Rutgers University, Colgate Palmolive, Yale University, Corning Glass, Princeton University, The Dakota Apartment Building NYC and many other institutions, high end residences and historical Buildings went on to become proud customers of Robert’s business. His company was known for the highest quality material in the industry. The company was sold in December of 2016.

In addition to having a passion for photography, Robert has a diversified life and has accomplished many other goals. He is a lover of nature, and surrounds himself with the outdoors and animals as much as possible.

  • Developed the first environmentally friendly, scientific, mineral exploration process for one of New York State’s most valuable minerals, credited by the NYSDEC  and New York Geological Survey

  • Designed, built and patented an invention for the stone manufacturing industry

  • Developed a Certified Continuing Education Course for Architects

  • Is an avid motorcyclist

  • Became an instrument-rated Sukhoi-29 aerobatic pilot with 1000 hours of flight time in over 20 different types of aircraft

  • World class pistol shooter-ranked # 6 and 7th in the USA for two years
